SHINe is a Scotland wide multi-disciplinary research network of individuals interested in HPV SHINe was originally set up through funding from the Chief Scientist Office of the Scottish Government Health Department with two concurrent programme grants. The first of these has ensured the development of a National HPV sample archive (Biomedical and Therapeutic Research Committee (BTRC) grant). The second has helped determine the impact of the HPV immunisation programme on current cervical test performance and to determine the most effective screening strategy for the future (Health Services Research Committee (HSRC) grant). Since its inception in 2006, SHINe has been an active network with biannual meetings and several collaborative projects.Currently, SHINe benefits from membership from across Scotland with an interest in HPV. SHINe is administered through the SHPVRL and HPV Research Group in Edinburgh. For further information, please contact: Dr Ramya Bhatia Associate Clinical Scientist, SHPVRLHonorary Research Fellow, UoERoyal Infirmary of Edinburgh, NHS Lothian51 Little France CrescentEdinburgh EH16 4TJE: Ramya.Bhatia@ed.ac.ukTel- 01312426005 Dr Kate Cuschieri FRCPath Director, Scottish HPV Reference LaboratoryDepartment of Laboratory MedicineRoyal Infirmary of EdinburghEH16 4SAE: kate.cuschieri@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk Tel: 0131 242 6039 Mrs Sharon Moncur Research TechnicianHPV Research GroupQueen's Medical Research InstituteEdinburgh BioQuarter47 Little France CrescentEdinburgh, EH16 4TJE: smoncur@exseed.ed.ac.ukTel: 0131 242 6625 Dr Hana Elasifer Scottish HPV Archive Co-ordinator HPV Research GroupQueen's Medical Research InstituteEdinburgh BioQuarter47 Little France CrescentEdinburgh, EH16 4TJE: hana.elasifer@ed.ac.uk This article was published on Tuesday 12 July 2022
